Eddie Kelley

Eddie Kelley, 59, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 in a Marietta, Georgia hospital. Eddie was born in Cleveland and he was the son of the late Mary Ruth Hodge Kelley and James E. Kelley. His sister, Lora Danson also preceded him in death. Eddie was a professional, skilled welder with over 30 years of service. He held certification in Robotic welding, and he was D11 certified, AWS certified, All Metals, All Positions and military certified. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He was an avid Auburn Tigers/War Eagles fan and he was Baptist.Survivors include his wife, Vanessa Kelley, Cleveland; children, Felecia Martin ("Boon"), Chris Kelley (Allie), Cody Kelley, Michael McDonald, Reed Strickland; grandchildren, Ayden Martin, Brayleigh Stokes, Kylie Stokes, Corbin Martin, Trenten Martin; sister, Penny Key (Dennis); brother in law, Jack Danson; and 2 nephews and 1 niece.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1 P. M. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Jack Epperson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Eddie's fellow "War Eagles" fans serving as casket bearers, D. J. Key, Isaac Key, Michael Hodge, Michael Ross, Tony Hobbs and Doug Satterfield. The family will receive friends from 6 P. M. until 8 P. M. Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
