Mary Elizabeth Atkins

Mary Elizabeth Atkins, 77, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late John Osborne Patterson and Nancy Elizabeth Howard Patterson. Her husband, Grady Leon Atkins also preceded her in death along with her daughter, Maryann Atkins, her brother, Charles Osborne Patterson and her sister, Wanda Lee Patterson. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family who called her Mama and Mamaw. Above all she loved her family. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, C. L. Atkins and Jonnie Lee Atkins, and her two daughters, Brenda Fowler and Melinda Dyan Atkins all of Cleveland, her sister, Eva Grace Stinnett of Ocoee, sister-in-law, Susan Patterson of Benton, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor John Stinnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Veterens Section of Fort Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel.
