Richard D. "Rick" Stubblefield, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Charles B. Stubblefield and Mildred Roberts Stubblefield. Rick retired from WalMart in 2015, he enjoyed playing billiards, spending time with family and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tami Owens Stubblefield; his sister, Carol Meyers of Ooltewah; his brother, Bill Stubblefield (Kathy) of Dalton, GA; step-sons, Martin Royse Jr. and Matt Royse (Angel); step-daughter, Breana Ferguson, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lilli Royse, Mason Royse, Jackson Royse, Sadie Royse and Kieana Ferguson; and cousin, Charles and Mable Roberts of Ooltewah. A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the North Ocoee Street Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services with Chaplain Doug Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Martin Royse Jr., Matthew Royse, Vernon Petty, Larry Ledridge, and Brent Hooper serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friend on Tuesday prior to the service from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the North Ocoee Street Chapel. I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely couple of Rick and Tami in the last eighteen months at our support group meetings for Tennessee Oncology patients. Rick, with his gentle nature and quick wit , added a dimension to our meetings as no one else had. He was loved by all ! Tami, you gave by caring and listening to our needs when we knew you were being a tremendous caregiver at home. We will miss Rick…he has made it to the place we all want to go! A place of rest with no more aches and pain.
