Alberta Pierce Grady, age 68, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed awayTuesday evening at the family residence. Alberta was the daughter of the late Kate Reeser Pierce and Chester Pierce. Her sister, Melba Pierce McCormack and her beloved pets, her dog, "Bruno" and her cat "Blue" also preceded her in death. Alberta really loved animals, singing and telling jokes. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and to the Ocean. She loved to make crafts and giving gifts. Alberta was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.Survivors include her companion of 26 years, John Stone of Cleveland, her son, whom she was very proud, Darrell Grady and his wife Wendy, her grandchildren, Hannah Harmon and her husband Brandon, Chanler Grady and Noah Grady, her great granddaughter, Braylyn Harmon, her brother, Everette Pierce and his wife Peggie, her brother in law, William C. "Corny" McCormack, her nephews and nieces, Jeff Pierce, Tonya Ledford, Greg Pierce, Melissa and Mike Hughes, Michelle Simon, Bucky May, Johnny Smith, Scottie Grady, Linda Durham, Kathy White, Lisa Lawson, her great nieces and nephews, Daphne and Natasha Smith, Katana White, Mathew Crittenden, Johnathan Malone, Brandon Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, her great great nieces and nephews, Skyler Crittenden, Olivia Pierce, Zeth Haney, Micah Smith, Taylon Smith, Grienly Thompson and Keyniya and Makyia Smith, her dog, "Chocka" and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 A. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with her son, Reverend Darrell Grady officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with Jeff Pierce, Greg Pierce, Jeff Hall, Eddie Miller, Patch Davis and Corny McCormack serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will Johnny Smith, Johnathan Malone and Mike Hughes. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Friday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
