Alfred Casson

Alfred Casson, age 78, a resident of Benton, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the family residence. Mr. Casson was the son of the late Dessie Mae Mantooth Casson and John Henry Casson. His grandson, Jakob Davis and several brothers and sisters also preceded him in death. Mr. Casson was retired from Magic Chef/Maytag with 35 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors including vegetable gardening, hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved family time and watching his grandchildren play ball! Mr. Casson was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church in Polk County.Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pat Casson of Benton, his son, Danny Casson and his wife Rita, his daughters, Sherry Askew and her husband Joe, Lisa White and her husband Jason and Lori Gruber and her husband Clarence, his grandchildren, Brandon Casson and his wife Tiffanie, Garrett Casson and his wife Clara, Blake Cross, Waylon Davis, McKaylee Cross and Amber White, his great grandchildren, Kolton Casson and Ann Lea Casson, his sisters, Beulah, Wilma Sue, Savannah and Mary and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Terry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Benton Memorial Gardens with Brandon Casson, Garrett Casson, Blake Cross, Waylon Davis, Joe Askew, Jason White and McKaylee Cross serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 P. M. Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
