I am very sad to learn that Lisa, as we affectionately called her, has left us, but she will not be forgotten by the huge circle of friends she made during all those years bringing music and a taste of her homeland to audiences in every corner of our community and beyond. Dressed in traditional attire and singing along to her accordion play, she always found a cheering crowd.

Lisa and I were born and raised in Germany and experienced WWII first hand in our childhood but, when we met, we talked with much laughter about all the good times and traditions in Germany. It was a treat for me to chat with her in our native tongue.

No doubt, she has a special place in heaven.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to her entire family.
