Annie Mae Botts McAlister age 93 a life-long resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Festus and Pearl Wheeler Howell and was also preceded in death by her first husband Dewey Botts and her second husband Hoyt McAlister, her brother C.L. Howell and a grandson Barry McAlister. Annie Mae was raised on a dairy farm and attended Moore’s Chapel Church. She worked for a florist for 15 years before going to work at Revco Drug where she worked for 10 years as a cashier. She also ordered for the drug and flower department. She often assisted the pharmacist. She always made a garden and either canned or froze her produce. She loved tending to her yard growing beautiful flowers and she loved cooking for her family, especially her grandchildren. Annie Mae is survived by her daughters Janet Stover of Cleveland, Sue Brannon and her husband Jeff of El Paso TX., her sons Eddie Botts and his wife Connie of Cleveland, Julian Botts and his wife Sharon of Cleveland and Wayne McAlister and his wife Alana of Knoxville, 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Tuesday at 2 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Pastor Earl Farris officiating. The interment will follow in the Moore’s Chapel cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 2pm at the funeral home.
