Mrs. Lane was the daughter of the late Ethel M. Gordon Williams and Winfred Lee Williams. Her husband Ray D. Lane and her brother, Aaron Lee Williams also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lane was retired from Cleveland Community Hospital with over 14 years of service in housekeeping. She loved to crochet, sew, make quilts and assist her husband with any carpentry work he was doing. Her C. B. Radio handle was “Lady Nail Driver”. Mrs. Lane was of the Baptist faith.She leaves behind to treasure her memory: her sons, Darrell Lane and Robert Lane and his wife Arlene all of Cleveland; her grandson, Davis Lane of Cleveland; her granddaughter, Edelyn Lane of Seattle, Washington; her great granddaughter, Jazasia Francisco also of Seattle; her sisters, Dorothy Ward of Cleveland, Ruth Mohan and her husband Hansram of Dalton, Georgia; her brother, Gail Williams of Benton; her brothers and sisters in law, Glenn Lane, Mary Morgan, Willie Brock and her husband Ed, Allen Lane and his wife Sally all of Cleveland, Emma Williams of Decatur, Wanda Shannon of Ooltewah, LaPhene Lane of Dalton, Georgia; her nieces and nephews, Linda Braden, Jeannie Gadd, David Williams, Junior Williams, Robert Williams, Antonio Mohan, Shalanda Mohan and Darryl Bishop and host of great nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the service at 2:00 Saturday at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
