Reverend Buddy H. Brewer

Reverend Buddy H. Brewer, 78, of Cleveland passed away Thursday August 13, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was the son of the late David H. Brewer Sr. and Mattie Sue Bates Brewer. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers David H. Brewer Jr., Bill Brewer and Freddie Brewer.He was the founder of Community Chapel Church of God and pastored there for 20 years. He also pastored Laurel Mountain Church for 2 years, he was the associate pastor at Prospect Church of God with Sammy Hughes as pastor. In 1959 he and his dad David Brewer started the B and B Manufacturing and was in business for over 50 years. He also owned a couple of different furniture stores with his last one being, Buddy’s Big Saver. He served in the United States Air Force, he coached little league baseball, and he loved deer hunting and was a faithful mall walker.Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Grady Brewer of 55 years, his daughter; Teresa Lynn Bowers and her husband Steve, his sons; Buddy H. Brewer Jr. and his wife Tammy, Johnny Ray Brewer and his wife Sandra, Mark J. Brewer, David J. Brewer, his grandchildren; Misty Newsome and her husband Jeff, Teffenny Hughes and her husband Nick, Brittany Hays and her husband Stephen, Stacy Bellora and her husband Mark, Whitney Brewer, Holly Rhea and her husband Kevin, Joshua Brewer and his wife Maria, Mark D. Brewer and Sarah Bowers great grandchildren Tymber and Blake Newsome, Liam Hughes, Alaya and Landon Brewer, Ava Hays, Hayden Thompson, Kaydence and Mark Bellora III, Sawyer Rhea, Alyssa Bellora, Jayden and Drake Heath, brothers, Tom Brewer and his wife Shirley, Jack Brewer and his wife Shirley, sisters; Rebecca Moore and her husband Wayne, Mary Swallows and her husband Bud, sister in law; Mary Grace Brewer and brother in law, Wallace Grady and his wife Bonnie, and several nieces and nephews.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 4:00pm from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Sears, Pastor Timothy Gann, Pastor Kenneth Bowers and Reverend Sammy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Nick Hughes, Jeff Newsome, Mark Brewer, Josh Brewer, Charles Gentry and Tymber Newsome serving as casket bearers; Jeff Gentry and Kevin Rhea serving as honorary casket bearers.
