Carvard H. "Mac" McLemore

Carvard H. "Mac" McLemore, age 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at the family residence. Mac was the son of the late Mona Boles McLemore and Lawrence McLemore. His son in law, Christopher Dowis and his sisters, Jane Daugherty and her husband Charles, Mary McDowell and her husband J. B. also preceded him in death. Mr. McLemore retired from Hardwick, (Maytag, Whirlpool) after 37 years of service. Mac enjoyed was a HAM Radio operator and he was a member of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club. He was a member of the Brittsville Baptist Church in Meigs County.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley McLemore of Cleveland, his daughter, Angela Dowis of Ooltewah, his son, Stephen Brent McLemore and his wife Gail of Knoxville, his grandchildren, Justin Dowis and his wife Katheryn "Kat" Dowis, Jonathan McLemore, Andrew McLemore, Jonathan Ackerman, Jessica Moralez and her husband Cameron Moralez, Julie Lyle and her husband Rhett, his great grand daughter, Jillian Vanalstyne and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2:00 from the Cofer Cemetery in Meigs County with Reverend David Evans officiating. Stephen Moreland, Justin Dowis, Justin Moller, Jonathan McLemore, Andrew McLemore, Larry Daugherty, Ronnie McDowell and Brandon Bryant will serve as casket bearers. The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
