Charles Mike Witt age 62 passed away on Sunday April 30 2017 due to a stroke,at his family’s residence in Benton TN., with his family by his side. He attended school in Polk County and graduated from Auctioneer College. He became an auctioneer and was past owner and operator of Highway 411 Mobile Homes and Country Mountain Market Store of Benton. He was involved with Small Business Liquidator, he was on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Benton, he was on the board of Ducks Unlimited of the Southeast, he was a member of The Lions Club of Benton, of the Elks Lodge of Tucson AZ., and was a past member of the Elks Lodge of Gatlinburg and Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Matt Witt, his mother Ann Boyd Witt, his first step mother Mary Ellen Runion Witt, his step grandfather and grandmother Herman and Lou Biggs Witt Wright and his aunt Helen Witt Longwith. He leaves behind his second step mother Elizabeth Richardson Witt of Benton, his son Michael Witt and his wife Evonne of Benton, Michaels mother Nancy Mathews Witt, Michael’s half-sister and brothers Maryann Conley and Jesse all of Cleveland, his grandchildren Kiersten, Matt and Mavis Witt of Benton, his sister Debbie Brannon of Benton his step brother Jim Richardson of Chattanooga his uncle John and Irene K. Witt his aunt Carolyn and John Guerry both of Chattanooga his nephews Tyler and Tanner Brannon. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 4 o’clock Wednesday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. The interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery located on Harrison Pike in Cleveland Tn., with Michael Witt, Conley Parliman, Jesse Foley, Howard Mathews, Lamar Green and Claude Mowery serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 until 4pm at the funeral home.The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the many friends and family that have called and came by, brought food, flowers and prayed for Mike and his family during this time of loss.
