Clyde Mantooth

Clyde Mantooth age 78 a resident of Old Fort passed away Tuesday November 18 2014 at the family residence. Mr. Mantooth was the son of the late Sam and Winnie Mantooth and was also preceded in death by his loving wife Edna Ruth Mantooth. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Carzella Pritchett, Roy Mantooth, Brenda Roderick and 4 infant siblings.Mr. Mantooth retired from Magic chef with over 20 years of service and he attended Shady Springs Baptist Church.He is survived by his children Maxine Wilson and special friend Tammy Massey, Tina Shelton and her husband Tommy, Michael Mantooth and his wife Sonya, grandchildren Carrie Wilson, Josh Shelton and his wife Kattie, Jamie Tickel and her husband Ethan, Michael Hudson, Chris Hudson and his wife Brandi, Caleb Shelton, Savannah Shelton and Traci Wilson, great grandchildren Arabella and Ezekiel Tickel, Alivia Shelton, Abby and Silas Hudson, Jase Jordan and Dawson Flood. He is also survived by his siblings Easter Holder, Claude Mantooth, Reathel Mantooth and Gayla White, a special niece Winnie Lynn Burris and her son Riley Burris.A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2pm Friday at Ball Play Baptist church with Rev. Eddie Trentham officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Richard Mantooth, Claude Mantooth Jr., Jeramie Mantooth, Dale Johnson, Wayne Holder, Ethan Tickel, Michael Hudson and Chris Hudson serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush funeral homes.
