Mrs. Pemberton was born in Bolivar, Tennessee and she was the daughter of the late Peggy Bethune Crews and John B. Crews. Her brothers, Ralph, J. R. and Carey Crews also preceded her in death. Alongside her husband, they served the Church of God as State Youth Director for West Virginia, pastored churches in Tennessee and Florida and served as State Overseer for Arizona, Oklahoma and Alabama. Mrs. Pemberton was known for her hospitality. She loved to cook and host family and friends in her home. She was an artist and she inspired her grandchildren to paint! She loved being a member of the Red Hat Society and she was a faithful member of the Westmore Church of God.Survivors include her husband, Don Pemberton of Cleveland, her sons, Rick Pemberton and his wife Rhonda of Sevierville, Tennessee, Larry Pemberton and his wife Clynette of Seymour, Tennessee, her grandchildren, Valerie Leaverton and her husband Shawn, Jon Pemberton and his wife Elisabeth, David Pemberton, Grant Pemberton and his wife Sarah and Nick Pemberton and his wife Lanie, her great grandchildren, Jackson and Caleb Pemberton, Olivia, Gabbi and Jacob Leaverton, Owen and Ashlyn Pemberton and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 from the Westmore Church of God with Pastor Wendell Smith and Pastor Kelvin Page officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jon, David and Grant Pemberton, Mark Abbott, Jym Hitte and Kyle Peacock serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P. M., the service time Saturday at the Westmore Church of God. The North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
