Evelyn Wright

Evelyn Wright age 91 a life-long resident of Birchwood Tenneessee passed away Tuesday January 9, 2018 in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Maggie Parker and was also preceded in death by her husband Howard Wright her son Glenn Wright and her brothers and sisters. She was the remaining child of Ben and Maggie Parker. She retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education working at Birchwood Elementary School for a number of years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. She attended Birchwood Church of God. Survivors include her sons Roy Wright, William “Shep” Wright and his wife Linda, Aaron Wright and his wife Barbara, her daughter Ann Prentice and her husband Jeff, 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren all of Birchwood. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Friday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Fletcher Farris officiating. The interment will follow at McInturf Cemetery with Joe, Jim and Steve Allison, Deric Prentice, Troy Wright and Jeff Prentice serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
