Mr. Hardin was the son of the late Evie Watkins Hardin and John William Hardin. His sisters, Ruth Johnson, Iva Hamlin, Ida B. Chapman, Esther Dewitt and Jackie Brannock and his brothers, Fornia Hardin, Q. T. Hardin and Frank Hardin also preceded him in death. Mr. Hardin was a builder and worked in Real Estate for 33 years. Along with his wife they owned and operated Award Realty since 1988. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his family! He was a member of the Board of Realtors and a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Genelle Hardin of Cleveland, his daughters, Marcia Botts and her husband Dennis, Teresa Ramage and her husband Tommy and Lorrie Rose all of Cleveland, his sons, Allan Hardin and his wife Shauna of Franklin, Tennessee and David William Hardin and his wife Tracey of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Cindy Shields and her husband Justin, Tommy Ramage Jr. and his wife Candace, Lisa Marano and her husband Jeff, Shannon Fella and her husband Evan, Brook Kenney and her husband Dr. Justin Kenney, Dr. Ben Sweeney and his wife Ashley, Olivia Gravelle and her husband Mark, Matt Botts and his wife Jeri, Kaitlin Botts, Zack Botts, Caiden Botts, Mason Rose, Blake Ramage and his fiancé Shanna, Heather Crowe and her husband Jeff, Jenner Hardin and his wife Sara, Brent Hardin and his wife Megan and Jessica Hunter and her husband Thomas, his 25 great grandchildren, his brother, John A. Hardin and his wife Mildred of Birmingham, Alabama, his special friends, Michael Brian, Terry Lee and Dr. Don Gibson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00 from the North Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Mitch Maloney, Dr. Luther Johnson and Reverend Emerson Tiller officiating. Entombment and services will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens and will be held privately for the family. David Hardin, Brent Hardin, Dr. Ben Sweeney, Dr. Justin Kenney, Mason Rose, Evan Fella, Mark Gravelle, Thomas Hunter and Blake Ramage will serve as casket bearers. Mr. Hardin will be at the church on Saturday starting at 12:00 until the service time at 1:00 for visitation. The family request that in lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Floyd and Genelle Hardin Scholarship Fund; C/O Lee University Central Gifts, P. O. Box 3450, Cleveland, Tennessee 37320-3450. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P. M. Friday at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
