Frances Edith Hitson

Frances Edith Hitson age 85 a resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday March 10, 2018 at the family residence. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Hubbard and was also preceded in death by her husband Marvin “Mug” Hitson. Mrs. Hitson retired from Lee University where she worked in the cafeteria with over 28 years of service. She was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons Marvin Hitson, James Hitson, Kenneth Hitson and Charlie Hitson, her daughters Melissa Godfrey, Betty Godfrey and Frances McNish, also 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 6 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Charles Ogle officiating. The interment will be held at 12 o’clock Thursday at Epperson Cemetery in Tellico Plains. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 until 6pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
