Harold “Poppy” Wallace, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in a local hospital. He was the son of the late Edith and Edward Wallace and was also preceded in death by his sister Imogene Hamby and a grandchild Nikki Myers. Poppy was a long time member of Four Points Baptist Church and was retired from Collins and Aikman Carpet Mill with over 21 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden and raise chickens. Poppy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Gail “Nanny” Wallace, his daughters Gwen Mowery and her husband James, Shelia Wallace and Kim Cates and her husband Chris, his grandkids Renee Bogle, and Isaac Worley, great grandkids Savanna Bogle, Allison Bogle and Logan Bogle, his brothers Jerry Wallace, Arnold Wallace, Steve Wallace, Jim Wallace and Luther Wallace, his sisters Maxine Clouse, Wilma Gibson, Joyce Walker and Brenda McBee and several nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Ray Cheathem and Rev. Charles Webb officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chris Cates, James Mowery, Jody Bogle, Logan Bogle, James Aaron Mowery, Isaac Worley and Josh Owens serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
