Mrs. Barker was the daughter of the late Eula McNutt Gurley and Jacob Manson Gurley. Her son husband, Miller Scott Barker, her son, Dwayne Barker, her sisters, Pearl, Neita Lou, Emma Sue, Ruth and Eva Gurley and her brother, Jacob Robert Gurley also preceded her in death. Mrs. Barker was a seamstress most of her life and she retired from Prostitch with many years of service. She loved to quilt and attended the Baptist Church most of her life.Survivors include her daughter, Virginia “Ginger” Millsaps and her husband Taylor of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Steven Scott Millsaps, Daniel Aaron Millsaps, Robert Taylor Millsaps all of Cleveland, 7 more grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lonnie Barker of McDonald and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Graveside service and Interment will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2014 at 2:00 from the Jones Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
