Jeanette Calfee Kaeppner Hayes, age 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in a Austell, Georgia hospital. Jeanette was the daughter of the late Julia Ethel Peterson Calfee and Billy Gene Calfee. Her brother, John W. Calfee also preceded her in death. Jeanette was a Nurses Assistant for Life Care Centers and Bradley Healthcare Services. She also worked for Waffle House for a number of years. Most of all, she was a homemaker and a very active grandmother, spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, including camping and animals. Jeanette was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Michael "Mike" Hayes of Cleveland, her daughter, Jennifer Escobar and her husband Jose Luis Escobar, her son, Jeremy Shane Kaeppner and his wife Tiffany all of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Brianna Moore, Eliya Hughes, Kadie Escobar, Julian Escobar and Lydia Escobar, Jeremy Kaeppner Jr., Trey Kaeppner, Nicole Kaeppner, April Kaeppner, Tori Kaeppner and Angel Rogers, her great grandchildren, Lucianna Davis, Harlow Estella Saurez and Naomi Moore, her sisters, Cynthia Lowery and her husband Dennis of Crockett, Texas, Julia Lynn Cross and her husband Lonnie of Cleveland, her brothers, Billy Calfee Jr. of Cleveland, Eric Calfee of Hixson, Richard Calfee of Pikeville, Tennessee, her special nephews, Matthew Duckett, Dustin Duckett and several extended family members including aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Sam Randolph officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements. It was my honor and privilege to care for Mrs. Hayes. Although I never actually *met* her, it was so obvious to my team that this was a strong, dearly beloved woman who had a profound impact on the people around her.

I am deeply sorry for your family's loss, and I wish all of you all the best in the future. I adored meeting all of you and just wish it was under better circumstances.

Jeanette was a awesome person abig heart Loved her grandbabies AND grate grandbabies she always talked about her family and loved her family me and Jeanette shared a granddaughter AND we would go to waffle House and talk about family and grandbabies I've spent a lot of time at the waffle House with her drinking coffee and just sitting AND talking AND laughing with her we had a lot of good times together....... So sorry for your loss. I didn't meet you, but I met Jeanette a lot of years ago at the Waffle House, and a lot of us girls would sit around and talk and sing with the music. She was a good person. R I P Jeanette.
