Jerry was the son of the late Marie Clark Jenkins and Dora Jenkins. His sister, Evelyn Jenkins Witt also preceded him in death. Jerry was retired from Magic Chef with over 32 years of service. He loved the outdoors including camping and going to the lake. He was very friendly and never met a stranger. Jerry loved going to church and he attended several churches in the area. He was a Christian.Survivors include his sister, Esther Jenkins Judd Altizer of Decatur, his nieces, Phyllis E. Judd and her husband Chuck Carter, Cindy T. Judd all of Decatur, his nephews, Johnny J. Judd of Decatur and David Witt and his wife Suzanne of Chattanooga and many close friends and cousins. A very special thanks for a wonderful caregiver, Sandra Holcomb of Cleveland also survives.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday evening at 6:00 from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Sharon Coffey officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P. M. Wednesday just before the service at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
