Kind, wonderful man who walked uprightly. I used to walk behind him in campus and marvel that his wingtip shoes showed no uneven wear. I truly loved and admired this man.

Dear Jewell. This is Pam Webb. I just heard today about brother Vaught. He was a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope to you are hanging in there. I will plan a trip to Cleveland and hope to get to see you. I have great memories of you and brother Vaught. Love Pam Webb 659 Old Middlesboro Hwy. Lafollette, TN 37766
We were blessed when Dr. Vaught visited our church in Lovington New Mexico, in the winter of 1965. He preached a very inspiring message, "Who Then Is Willing To Consecrate His Service To The Lord?" The message impacted my life, and has stayed with me all of these years. We became more acquainted with Dr. Vaught, his wife Jewel, and their lovely family, while we pastored Campus Church 1972-1974. We learned to love and appreciate the warmth and kindness always demonstrated in his life, and in the life of each Vaught family member. GOD bless and comfort you, Vaught, family in your loss. Our love and prayers go with you. Phil and Jacque Shearer
Dr. Vaught's family: Bill and I met at Northwest Bible College in 1958. We were there until the Spring of 1960, living in a small cottage on campus at the last. Since I was Dr. Vaught's secretary for just a couple of years, I saw first-hand Dr. Vaught's gentleness and yet professionalism. Our office was in their home at first, so when Sis. Vaught made banana bread, they would invite me to take a break and enjoy that and tea with them. On our first date, since we didn't have a car, we hitched a ride to the Thanksgiving service in town with Dr. Vaught. Sis. Vaught stayed with her children. But teacher, June Becker was riding along too. As we approached the car, Sis. Becker said, "Phyllis, ride up here with us." So on our first date I sat between the V.P. of the college (at that time) and the Dean of women. After church we scurried to the car so we could sit together on the way back. So many memories of those years. I remember the dignity and passion in Dr. Vaught's preaching or speaking. His teaching was excellent. Such an honor to have known and loved this family. I have the fondest and most precious memories of the past legacies of Dr. Vaught. Memories that are cherished while I attended Northwest Bible College in the mid to late 60's. The Lord healed me of stuttering while he was President at NBC. Praise the Lord. Thank God for his blessed hope. Our prayers are with the Dr. Vaught family at this time.

We have very fond memories of Dr. Vaught, Jewell, and their family. In 1972 we moved our family to Minot, ND from IA in Bob's third year of college and continued to work for the school until Bob took a pastorate in Aberdeen, SD. Dr. Vaught was a great teacher and leader. He had a very kind, gentle spirit that affected all who attended NWBC. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on forever. We watched his funeral service yesterday which was done so elegantly giving him proper acknowledgement for his numerous accomplishments. We pray special blessings on the Vaught family.
In Thoughts and Prayers
