Linda was the daughter of the late Marie Moore Ballew and Earl Houston Ballew. Her son, Tracy Bowman and her brother, Donnie Ballew also preceded her in death. Linda worked for over 35 years in the Carpet Mill Industry. She retired from J and H Carpet Mills where she worked in the scheduling department. She loved working in her flower garden and camping with her family. Linda loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a member of the Boanerges Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bobby Bowman of Old Fort, her daughter, Amy Bowman Stafford and her husband Michael, her son, Scotty Bowman and his wife Ann all of Old Fort, her grandchildren, Haley Bowman, Emilie Lawson, Casey Lawson, Kaitlyn Stafford and Megan Stafford, her brother, Gene Ballew and his wife Johnnie of Old Fort, her aunt, Hazel Pullen of Crandall, Georgia and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2014 at 1:00 from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tennga with Tony Ballew, Barry Ballew, Jody Ballew, Randy Bowman, Terry Bowman and Jeff Bowman serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P. M. Wednesday at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
