Mafrey "Mae" Taylor

Mafrey "Mae" Taylor, age 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, July 1, 2017 at the family residence. Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Lula Cornett Barrett and Shade Barrett. Her husband, Travis K. Taylor, her sister, Agnus Turner Smith and her brothers, Shade Barrett Jr. and Granville Doc Turner also preceded her in death. Mrs. Taylor was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and received her Nursing Degree from the Dayton, Ohio School of Nursing. She had worked with Health South and Open Arms in Chattanooga. She loved to sew, travel with the Senior Adults from her church but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Candies Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, Travis K. Taylor, II and his wife Jenn of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Travis K. "Trey" Taylor, III, Mason I. Taylor and Cole M. Taylor all of Cleveland, her nieces, Donna Smith Roberts of Broadhead, Kentucky, Katie Harrison of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and several cousins and a host of church family and friends also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 5:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Stan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
