Simonds, age 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning in a Spring City, Tennessee health care facility. Mr. Simonds was the son of the late Laura Shelton Simonds and William Robert Simonds. His wife, Eunice Simonds, and his brothers, Cecil, Bill, Rufus and Soris Simonds and Joe Shelton also preceded him in death. Mr. Simonds was well loved and he enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends. He was of the Christian Faith.Survivors include his daughter, Becky Simonds, his sons, Royce and David Simonds, his grandson, Nathan Simonds all of Cleveland, his sister, Delfy Dixon of Houston, Texas, his brother, Marlin Simonds of Dade City, Florida and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday evening, October 7, 2015 at 6:00 P. M. with Reverend James Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 6:00 P. M. Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
