Michael Edward Frederick

Michael Edward Frederick, age 74, a resident McDonald, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in a local health care facility surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Michael was born in South Carolina and lived most of his life in McDonald. He was the son of the late Frances E. Westmoreland Frederick and Lawrence E. Frederick. His sister, Marsha McDaniel also preceded him in death. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, having graduated from Parris Island, South Carolina Training Facility in 1960 and he was Honorable Discharged in 1964. Michael enjoyed woodworking, watching football, camping and he enjoyed working on classic cars. He was an avid fan of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Michael was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in McDonald.Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi Cordell, his son, Anthony Frederick, his grandchildren, Wade Cordell, Levi Cordell and Autumn Cordell, his sister, Carolyn Cox, his brother, Timothy Frederick and his wife Cathy and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 1:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Gary Thacker officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonald with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Military honors will be given. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 P. M. Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
