To each of you, I want to express my deep sadness when Carolyn emailed that Mildred had passed away. She, Ralph and I shared a few things in common. Ralph and Mildred were married on my birthday and my middle name is also Mildred. I remember years ago when Shari, my daughter, was about 10 months old. Mother, Shari and I came to visit Mildred and Ralph. Mildred sat Shari in the middle of the living room floor with a chocolate cookie to eat. Shari had chocolate all over her face and the floor. Mildred's comment was "leave her alone" and she just smiled. May God's deep love for each of you carry you through the days ahead. Joan Clark Dixon

To the Hamby family , I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mother , my aunt Mildred .I always loved coming to your house when my Mother had to take Jerry to the Shriners hospital . I could be me , get out and hoop and holler with you boys , get dirty , play kick the can at night in the summer time and hide and seek .... what wonderful memories ... I learned to ride a bike at your house ... I ill never forget when I came around the side of the house riding Stan's bike and him saying "Well , I'll be John Brown , she's riding the bicycle ... I remember the 1st time when Magic Chef took all their employees to Lake Winnie sometime around 1965 ? and your mom and dad was nice enough to let a 10 yr old girl tag along because Mother couldn't go on account of Jerry . What fun we had , Stan and I were the closest in age and I do believe we must have rode everything at least 3 or more times . Well , here we are all , entering middle age (60's ) with family and grandchildren and for me a great grandchild . May God bless each one of you and give you strength and comfort in the days ahead , Aunt Mildred is now with her beloved husband and family . Always in Christ , your cousin , Delores
