Pauline Hawkins

Pauline Hawkins, age 89, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday morning at the family residence. Mrs. Hawkins was the daughter of the late Esther Cloer McClure and Vesper “Tobe” McClure. Her husband, J. B. Hawkins, her daughter, Sheila Underwood, her son in law, Dewight Weber, her sister, Frances Hester and her brother, Thomas McClure also preceded her in death. Mrs. Hawkins was a homemaker and she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed embroidery. Mrs. Hawkins attended the Boanerges Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Phillips and her husband Jim and Linda Weber all of Old Fort, her grandchildren, Lynn Phillips and his wife Sheila of Old Fort, Michelle Gruver of Cleveland, Brian Weber and Jennifer Phillips both of Old Fort, her great grandchildren, Raven Weber, Reed Phillips, Drake Gruver and Shay Hale and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 4:00 P. M. from the Boanerges Baptist Church with Reverend David Disney and Reverend Randall Headrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive from 2:00 until 4:00 P. M. Sunday at the Boanerges Baptist Church. The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
