Rama Christina Gonia

Rama Christina Gonia, age 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the family residence. Rama was the daughter of the late Wilma Christina Kenny Gonia and Arthur Winston Gonia. Her husband, J. C. Goodson and several aunts and uncles also preceded her in death. Rama was retired from T. V. A. in Data Processing with many years of service. She also worked for Bradley Memorial Hospital in Admissions and Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Data Processing. Rama was a great party planner, whether it was bridal showers, baby showers or surprise birthday parties. She loved her nephews like they were her children. She directed their weddings did some of their receptions. She dearly loved all of their wives and her great grandnephews and grandnieces. She was loved by all. Rama was a member of the Hickory Valley Community Church in Chattanooga.Survivors include her sister, Norma Laverne Bryant and her husband Jimmy of Cleveland, her nephews, Dean Bryant and his wife Dana of Cleveland, Shane Bryant and his wife Tabitha of McDonald, Barkey Bryant and his wife Crystal of Champagne, Illinois, Andy Bryant and his wife Pam of Douglasville, Georgia, her great nieces and nephews, Cameron Bryant, Tanner Bryant both of McDonald, Cadence Bryant and Trinity Bryant both of Douglasville, Georgia, and Daphne Bryant of Champagne, Illinois, her aunts, Joyce Womack and her husband Donnie of Chattanooga, Iris Parton of Pelham, Alabama and several cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Monday, January 9, 2017 at 2:00 from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Duke Stone and Pastor Adam Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga with Dean Bryant, Shane Bryant, Barkey Bryant, Andy Bryant, Jimmy Bryant and Tanner Bryant serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
