Betsy,
I shall never forget the times Ruthe and I spent with your kids on visits to stay at your house. Richard never failed to refer to us as "snotty-nosed kids". I am VERY glad that he lived long enough for me to learn in my adulthood how much he loved us all. I really didn't even mind that he teased me about (and sometimes attempted to cover) my Democratic party bumper stickers. I'm sure God gives us room enough in Heaven for our little differences! God is good-all the time.
Betsy,
Barry and I wanted to tell you how much you and Dick influenced our lives during such a special time. The Lord was pursing and growing us and the two of you poured your wisdom and love by the power of the Holy Spirit into both of us. We are so grateful and thankful for your devotion and ministry.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. How great is our Hope in Christ that this is not the end.
Love you much,
Barry and Gwen Murray
From :Chris There are moments in life when you wish you could bring someone down from heaven , spend the day with them just one more time , give them one more hug , kiss them goodbye or hear their voice again for one more time , one more chance to say I love you... You'll never quite get over it . you just slowly gut through each day . but you'll always keep them safely tucked away in your heart . and know you well see them agene some day .... Dick and Betsy have lived as our neighbor up the hill for over 35 years. Our friendship has been great and we could always depend on both
Dick and Betsy in time of need. Dick stopped by often to see how things were going and Betsy used to talk with Debbie prior to her passing to keep up with what was going on with our families. Dick will be greatly missed in the neighborhood.
David, Travis, Chris, and Andy Smith
He brought joy to our lives with his prayers in class and with his concern and conversations that lifted my spirits each time we spoke. He is now enjoying his Heavenly Home.
Richard will be remembered as a good friend. Our prayers go out to his family. Bobby and Carolyn Rogers and family
Betsy, we are so sorry to hear of your loss and want you to know that we are praying for you and your family. Your loss is great and it is comforting to know that sometime in the future you will be united with Dick around the throne of glory. Praying God's comfort, Sherry and Derrell Howard
To aunt Betsy and family:
We will miss Uncle Richard so much. He was such a genuine man and was so full of life. I loved hearing his funny stories. He had such a unique sense of humor and could always make us laugh out loud. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mike, Melissa and Thaxton Mead
Please accept our most sincere condolences in Dick's passing. Our memories of him are fond. He demonstrated in so many different ways a Christ likeness and was such a very kind man. Please know that, along with you, we will miss him very much.
Marj will be there tomorrow and if I get out of a meeting on time, I plan on being at the service.
Please know that we are praying for your entire family at this difficult time and that the Lord will sustain you in the days ahead. We love you all.
Very Sincerely,
Tom and Marj Crum
