"For such a time as this"...Esther 4:14, Steven Allen Mitchell a resident of Cleveland, took his flight to heaven on Sunday evening January 7, 2018 at 8:08 P. M. with his loving family by his side. Steven entered this earthly realm on December 7, 1962 at 8:01 A. M. and God's Grace allowed us to have, know and love him for 55 years, 1 month, 12 hours and 7 minutes. His wife, Dawn Mitchell, his father, Eddie Allen Mitchell and his brothers in law, Randall Dennis and Paul Fulmer preceded him in death. Steven worked in Construction most of his life and he owned and operated Mitchell Plastering for many years. He loved the outdoors including, fishing, golfing, boat riding and swimming. He also enjoyed bowling, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. He loved people and he loved to talk to folks about Jesus. Steven was a true family man! He survived cancer for 5 years, 4 months and 3 days. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. For to know him was to love him. He was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church.Survivors include his daughter, Sara Mitchell, his son, Steven A. Mitchell and his wife Abbey all of Ruskin, Florida, the light of his life, his granddaughter, Sierra Mitchell also of Ruskin, his mother, Christine Wofford Mitchell of Cleveland, his sisters, Cindy Mitchell Lawson, Karen Mitchell Fulmer both of Cleveland and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Caywood officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at a later time in the Red Hill Cemetery. The family receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
