Terry was the son of the late Virginia Jo Shahan Cofer and Willard M. “Soppy” Cofer. His brother, Larry Cofer also preceded him in death. Terry was a truck driver and farmer most of his life. He loved driving his tractor, working on the farm and working with his livestock. He was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his sons, ToJo Cofer and his wife Crystal of Cleveland, BoBo Cofer and his wife Jay Jay of Georgetown, his grandchildren, John Luke Cofer, Jacob Cofer, Jiniva Cofer, Jack Wayne Cofer and Joie Lynn Cofer, his sisters, Debbie Rogers and her husband Neal, Arlene Caldwell and her husband Doug all of Georgetown, his loving ex-wife and special friend, Carolyn Cofer of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00 from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Cofer Cemetery in Meigs County with John, Jacob and Jack Cofer, David Rogers, Andy Caldwell and Matt Meadows serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 P. M. Thursday at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
