Terry Goforth

Terry Goforth, age 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday afternoon at the family residence. Terry was the son of the late Christina Dixon Hackney and Jack Hackney. His sisters, Pat Leonard and Sue Gee also preceded him in death. Terry was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. He worked for Coca Cola for 13 years serving as a supervisor, Burlington Industries for 10 years and Classique Cleaners for 13 years where he served as manager. Terry’s life was his family and he loved spending time with them! He was a member of the Elkmont Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Debbie Grubb Goforth of Cleveland, his daughters, Krista Durham and her husband Joe of Rocky Face, Georgia, Kristi Clowers and her husband Marshall of Cleveland, Leigh Ann Wright and her husband Robert of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Tara Carden of Cleveland, Kendra Boyd and her husband Chris of Cleveland and Heather Thomas also of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Shanda Brewer, Shae Durham, Allison Clowers, Randy Durham, Gabe Durham, Joseph Carden, Joshua Carden, Breanna Wright, Alexus Wright, Landon Wright, Evan Boyd, Brooklyn Beavers, Brady Carden and Codie Carden, his sister, Vickie Dunn and her husband Bobby of Cleveland, his brothers, Ricky Hackney and his wife Annette of Cleveland, Tommy Dixon and his wife Patricia of McDonald, his sisters in law, Patty Coleman and Brenda Thompson both of Cleveland, Sheila Smith of McDonald, his brothers in law, Joey Grubb and Danny Scoggins and his wife Teresa all of Cleveland, his children of his heart, Misty McCall, Heather Smith, Tonya Black, Kendra Steveson, Valerie Beavers and Richard Hoskins, his special friends, Danny and LeAnn Poole, Maurice and Joy Albernoz, Mike and Darlene Veler, Kathy Brock and her family, Melissa Long, Donnie Price and James “Doo Dad” Singleton, and his special nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of life Service will be conducted Monday, July 14, 2014 at 1:00 from the Elkmont Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Beta Cemetery in Meigs County with Joseph Carden, Joshua Carden, Dustin Coleman, Richard Hoskins, Randy Durham, Gabe Durham, Brett Dunn and Marshall Clowers serving as active casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will Bobby Dunn and Tommy Dixon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 Sunday at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
