Vickie Jo Ownby

Vickie Ownby age 61 a resident of Old Fort passed away Tuesday November 7, 2017 at the family residence. She was preceded in by her parents Leona Browder and Jim McKeown and was also preceded in death by her father in law Homer Ownby and a brother in law Derick Ownby. Vickie was a previous employee with Maytag with over 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to travel especially gong to the beach and she loved the Christmas season. She loved her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Tillis Ownby, her daughter Miranda Hitte, her step daughter Crystal Richmond, her son Dustin Ownby and his wife Frankie, her grandchildren Tyler Ownby and Travis and Tanner Hitte, Dakota Richmond and Jake Richmond, her sisters Pattie Hall, Beverly Dale and her husband Willie, Teresa Payne and her husband Kenny her brother Johnny McKeown, her step father Johnny Browder, step mother Sarah McKeown, her mother in law Oleta Ownby, sisters in law Renee LaDuke, Treva Hilliard and Tammie Ford. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Larry Humbard officiating. The interment will follow in the Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4 until 7pm and Saturday from 1 until 2pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
