Wanda Louise Beard

Wanda Louise Beard age 71 a resident of Old Fort passed away Thursday June 2, 2016 in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Donovan and Zula Mae Cross Powell and was also preceded in death by her brother Calvin Powell.Mrs. Beard was a retired Bradley County elementary school teacher with over 30 years of service. Her main tenure was with Waterville Elementary School as a third grade teacher. She was a member of the Red Hill Baptist Church.She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years William “Bill” Beard, her daughter Kathy Jenkins and her husband Danny of Cleveland one granddaughter Makayla Jenkins and several nieces, nephews and cousins.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held graveside 3:30 Sunday at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Chad Maxwell officiating.
