William Kramer "Bill" Cole

William Kramer “Bill” Cole age 71 passed away Thursday February 8, 2018 in a local health care facility. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Reathel Carden Cole and was also preceded in death by his sisters Sandra Cole, Darrell Hamby and Barbara Carden, his brother Tommy Cole and his mother in law Anna Nguyen Thi Luyen. Bill worked for Bechtel Construction and was a member of Labor Union #846. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill was a very proud veteran of the United States Army serving for six years. He served his country in the Vietnam War and received numerous commendations including a Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, American Legion Post 81, VFW Post 2598 and AMVETS Post 13. He was a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge 1345 and the Scottish Rite in Chattanooga. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Huong “Lan” Cole, his son Tony Cole and his wife Shannon, his daughter Tena Elkins and her husband Darnell, his grandchildren Andrew Cole, Gage Cole, Noah Elkins and one beloved granddaughter Grace Elkins, his brother Jr. Cole and his wife Judy, his sister Jean Cole and a sister in law Theresa Kim Plante. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Darnell Elkins officiating. The interment will follow with military honors at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
