William Clayton Cunningham, age 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in a Chattanooga hospital. Mr. Cunningham was the son of the late Ruth Farmer Cunningham LaVercombe and Bill Cunningham. He was also the grandson of the late Clay and Mary Farmer and James and Ina Cunningham. His step mother, Nell Cunningham Stevison, his grandchildren, Paige, Ashlyn and Wyatt Hatfield also preceded him in death. Mr. Cunningham owned and operated of Cunningham Home Improvements for many years. He was a former Bradley County Constable and a Community Service Officer. He was a past member of the Blue Knight Tennessee VII, which he was proud to serve and be a part of. Mr. Cunningham was a Christian.Survivors include his children, Shane Cunningham and Dera Hatfield, his two special grandchildren, Wayde and Autumn Hatfield, his children's mother, Margaret Woods Cunningham, his sisters, Bernice Rymer and her husband Jim, Sue Farris and her husband Gary, Debbey Callahan and her husband Tim, his brothers, Eddie Cunningham and his wife Tammy, Kenneth Cunningham and his wife Joan, his special fur buddy, "Festus" and a host of friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Gary Farris officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnston Cemetery in Meigs County with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 2:00 Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
