Kenneth was born and raised in the East View community of Georgetown and spent most of his adult life in Cleveland. He loved his family and was an avid fisherman and trader. He owned and operated Harris Tire Company for 40 years as well as various other businesses throughout his lifetime. Kenneth served in the United States Navy and was an active member of the Waterville Baptist Church.Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Janie Baker Harris and Creed Harris; brothers, Alden and Joe Harris; sister, Dorothy Harris Graham; and a granddaughter, Amber Harris Cannon.He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bobbie Franks Harris; two sisters, Uva Cofer and Betty Flowers; a brother, Everett Harris; four children and their spouses; Mike and Brenda Harris of Murfreesboro, Cathy and Ed Foddrill of Cleveland, Pam and Larry Haron of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cindy and Frank Dawson of Pelham, Alabama; six grandchildren, Stephanie Miller and her husband Justin, Eddie Foddrill and his wife Erin, Britt Ivey, Catie Coutinho and her husband Gus, Lindsay Morgan and her husband Grant and Alesha Dawson; two great-grandchildren, Austin Foddrill and Amber Joy Miller; several nieces and nephews.A Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted Monday evening, August 4, 2014 at 6:00pm from the Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Lovelace and Rev. Frank Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until the funeral hour at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Waterville Baptist Church Building Fund, 4555 Dalton Pike SE, Cleveland, TN 37323. The North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
