Zelda "Bill" Geneva Hilliard Hill

Zelda “Bill” Geneva Hilliard Hill, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was born August 30, 1933 in the Cookson Creek Community in Polk County, TN. She was the daughter of the late James Lake Hilliard and Velma S. Hall Darnell. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Gregory Cate Hill; son, Tommy Hill and daughters, Mary Frances Hill and Shirley Dale Hill. Bill retired from American Uniform Company after twenty six years of service. One of her favorite things to do was set on her front porch with her family. She loved wildlife. Bill was a member of Shady Spring Baptist Church and was baptized at age 10. Those left to Remember her Life include her sons, Jimmy Hill, Curtis Hill and his wife Karen, Billy Hill and his wife Donna; daughters, Elizabeth “Libby” Hill, Linda Hill, Patty Chord and her husband Dan, Kathy Hill and her husband Steve Core; her grandchildren, Jamie Hill, Michael Hill and his wife Sandy, Kevin Hill, Amanda Hill, Jennifer Patterson and her husband Tyler, Josh Hill and his wife Lauren, Hannah Osborne and her husband Jared, DJ Chord and his wife Kellie, Sandy Defino and her husband Derrick, Kathy Chord, Natalie Core and Derrick Core; twenty four great grandchildren; brothers, Glen Darnell and his wife Le, James Darnell and his wife Lou; her sister, Twila Reese and her husband Glen.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 5:00pm from Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Reverend Charles Moore and Reverend Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Jamie Hill, Michael Hill, Josh Hill, Kevin Hill, Tyler Patterson and Jared Osborne serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 5:00pm, the service hour, at the funeral home.
