Jim Rush
Owner/Funeral Director

Born in Rome, Georgia, Jim Rush is a strong, community-minded individual. He was involved in various aspects of law enforcement in our local area, even serving as head of the detective division of the Bradley County Sheriffs Office.

After Graduation from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1958 with a degree in Mortuary Science, he took the National Board Exam and the Tennessee State Laws Exam becoming a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Tennessee. Jim came to work for Ralph Buckner, Sr. in 1963 and remained until gaining sole ownership in 1978. Jim is very active in the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, serving as President from 1994 to 1995.

Jim and Judy Rush have been married over 50 years and have four children: J. Gregory, Christopher Marc, Kim and Kathi.

Jim and his family are members of the Westmore Church of God.

J. Greg Rush
Owner/Funeral Director

Greg Rush attended Lee University here in Cleveland, Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota, and received his Mortuary Training from Jefferson State Junior College in Birmingham, Alabama. He also served as president of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association for 2003-2004. He is currently representing the State of Tennesse on the National Funeral Directors Policy Board.

Greg and his wife Darla have two children, Jennifer and Brock.

They are also members of the Westmore Church of God.

Darrin E. Douglas
Owner/Funeral Director

Darrin serves as Business Manager as well as Funeral Director. He is a graduate from Lee University with a BS in Christian Education. He is also an insurance agent in the State of Tennessee.

He is married to Jim Rush's daughter Kathi. The Douglases have five boys: Caleb, Cameron, Collin, Carter and Cole.

Darrin and Kathi attend the Westmore Church of God.
