Our StaffJim Rush Owner/Funeral Director Born in Rome, Georgia, Jim Rush is a strong, community-minded individual. He was involved in various aspects of law enforcement in our local area, even serving as head of the detective division of the Bradley County Sheriffs Office. After Graduation from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1958 with a degree in Mortuary Science, he took the National Board Exam and the Tennessee State Laws Exam becoming a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Tennessee. Jim came to work for Ralph Buckner, Sr. in 1963 and remained until gaining sole ownership in 1978. Jim is very active in the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, serving as President from 1994 to 1995. Jim and Judy Rush have been married for 44 years and have four children: J. Gregory, Christopher Marc, Kim and Kathi. Jim and his family are members of the Westmore Church of God. J. Greg Rush Owner/Funeral Director Greg Rush graduated from Bradley Central High School and attended Lee University here in Cleveland and Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota. At Jefferson State Junior College in Birmingham, Alabama, specializing in Mortuary Science. Greg took the National Board Exam and the Tennessee State Laws Exam obtaining his license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Tennessee. He is also a licensed Insurance Agent. Greg is heavily involved in the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association and will serve as the 2003-2004 President. Greg and his wife Darla have two children. They are also members of the Westmore Church of God. Darrin E. Douglas Owner/Funeral Director Darrin serves as Business Manager as well as Funeral Director. He is a graduate from Lee University with a BS in Christian Education. In addition to being a licensed Funeral Director he is also an insurance agent in the State of Tennessee. He is married to Jim Rush's daughter Kathi. The Douglases have two children. Darrin and Kathi attend the Westmore Church of God.
