Alex LeRoy (Roy) Booth was born on 26th of May 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana and died on 24th February 2022 in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Irene Booth, his, father, James Clarence Booth and his mother Elizabeth Jane Holden Booth, brothers Kenneth and Harold Booth. He is survived by his three children: Jim (Teresa) Booth of Flint Michigan, Martin (Donna) Booth of Del Rio, Texas, Cheryl (Mark) Cleveland, Tennessee. Brothers: Frank (Barbara) Booth of Newark, Ohio and Truman (Audrey) Booth, of Hammond, Louisiana. He had nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and worked at General Motors as a skill tradesmen pipe fitter for thirty-five years at AC Spark Plug. He was a licensed ham radio operator and he knew Morse code. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, canoeing, ham radio, watching college football and most of all, spending time with his family. He always loved a good conversation, and would talk about such topics as astronomy, Bigfoot, military history, and anything else that interested him. His friends and loved ones will miss his stories, colorful personality, love, and loyalty. He was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Sunday at 3pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Chaplain Doug Murray officiating. The interment will follow at Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery with Mark Evans, Caleb Evans, Cory Evans, Casey Evans, Blaine Cordell and Caleb Johnson serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 at the funeral home.
