Audrie Mae Story Bradford, 86, gained her heavenly reward on Thursday, October 1, 2020 after a short illness, surrounded by family. A native of Watson, Louisiana she moved to Cleveland, Tennessee in 1973 where she resided for 46 years then moving to Cedar Bluff, Alabama for the last 14 months.She enjoyed reading, working puzzle books and porch sitting watching the many species of birds in the yard; especially the humming birds. She thoroughly enjoyed her visits with family and friends, just recently celebrating her 86th birthday with family coming from Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, Texas and Colorado.Retiring from Wal Mart with 22 1/2 years of service in 2011, she was also formerly employed by Mr. Zip convenience stores and was a long haul driver for 8 years with her husband.Audrie was born on March 2, 1934 to the late Audrey "Kidi" Marche' Story and Nancy Roberta "Eula" Graham Story. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Tootie" Bradford, three brothers; Thomas Edward, James Murray and Arthur Dial Story of Louisiana and son-in-law; James L. Smith, Jr. of Cleveland, TN.Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Boydrea (Ray) Gonzales of Baton Rouge, LA, Sheryll (Jerry) Johnson, Cherry (Tommy) Poirrier of Denham Springs, LA , Boyd "Pokey" (Sally) Herring of Walker, LA, Jeri Smith of Cleveland, TN and Vanessa (T.L.) Pinson of Cedar Bluff, AL (with whom she lived), Carl Bradford, Jr and Dianne Grignon of Chattanooga. 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Brother in laws; Harley "Buck" (Judy) Bradford, Claude (Phyllis) Bradford, sisters in laws; Bettie (Floyd) Eaves and Cheryl Bradford; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.Due to Covid regulations, a remembrance of life service will be just for the immediate family at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Russell Whaley officiating. Graveside services will be at Moore's Chapel Cemetery on Ladds Springs Rd at 4:00pm for family and friends.
