Barbara Mae Burris

Barbara Mae Burris age 86 passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Leona Jackson Stansberry and was also preceded in death by her husband George L. Burris, her siblings William Lee Stansberry, Gene Tunney Stansberry, Kenneth Wayne Stansberry, Thomas Dewey Stansberry, Bob Stansberry, J.D. Stansberry, Evelyn Burris and Ruby Stansberry Thomas. Mrs. Burris was a seamstress working at American Uniform for many years and also Fay Swafford Originals. She attended Bancroft Church of God. She is survived by her son Virgil Burris and his wife Peggy, her grandsons Chad Burris and his wife Rachel, Colby Burris and his wife Sarah, her great grandchildren Caleb Burris, Morgan Burris and Lillie Burris, her brother Donnie Stansberry, her sister Nancy Sneed. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Tuesday at 2 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Branham and Mrs. Phyllis Wright officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Colby, Chad and Caleb Burris, Jeff Stansberry, Daryl Sneed and Poochie Johnson serving as casket bearers. The family will receive Monday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
