Barbara Jean Ellis

Barbara Jean Ellis age 69 a lifelong resident of Cleveland went home to her Lord and Savior Sunday February 9, 2020. She was the daughter of the late James and Katherine Scoggins Clingan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 22 years Rev. Albert Ellis, Pastor of Benton Pike House of Prayer where she was known as the “Mother” of the church. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughters Ava Ellis, who was the light of her life and Eva Woody, her infant brother Jimmy Ray Clingan, her grandparents and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by her Aunt Hazel Taylor, her Uncle James Bud Tinsley, several cousins, Albert’s twin brother Rev. Alvin Ellis and his wife Hazel, his son in law Dwayne Woody, the Benton Pike House of Prayer members and family, Roy and Sandra Prock, Tim and Angie Prock, Larry and Debbie McGill caregivers along with friends, special friend Mack and Renata Hatmaker and Dusty Brown. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Friday February 14, 2020 at 11am at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Tim Prock and Rev. Billy Fox officiating. The interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Dusty Brown, Marshall Bradford, Dwayne Woody, Danny Robinson, Lynn Ellis and Steve Mowery serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
