Ben Leonard Whaley age 79 a resident of Cohutta GA., passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the family residence. He was the son of the late Herbert and Willie Mae Whaley and was also preceded in death by his loving wife Louise Whaley. He was a long time truck driver and loved to do yard work, hunt and fish. He is survived by his sons Doyle and Janice Whaley, Joe and Kim Whaley, his daughter Peggy Whaley, his grandchildren Jana and Chad Cameron, Crystal and Jamie Gladson, Ben and Hannah Whaley, Kaliann Whaley, Dee and Jimmy Graham, Maranda and Roy Reynolds, his great grandchildren Kalynn and Anastyn Cameron, Masy and Coker Gladson, Ella and Elin Graham, Sydney, Hannah and Sadie Reynolds, his brothers and sisters Linda Jones, Darrel Whaley, Wayne Whaley, Carol Padgett, Beverly Craig, Mike Whaley and Angie Pierce along with his dear friend and neighbor Phil Weber. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 6 o’clock Sunday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Pastor Mark Cameron officiating. The interment will be held at 10am Monday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cohutta GA., with Ben Whaley, Chad Cameron, Jamie Gladson, Robby Weber, Jacob Mashburn, Mark Drury and Coker Gladson serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 3 until 6pm Sunday at the funeral home.
