Bill Vaughn

Bill Vaughn, age 68, a resident of Charleston, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the family residence. Bill was born in Millington, Tennessee and he was the son of the late Joan Gray Masters and Harlan Vaughn. His daughter, Rebecca Vaughn and his sisters, Elizabeth and Brenda also preceded him in death. Bill was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He retired with 31 years of service. He also served with the Civil Service with the Navy for 9 years. He enjoyed the outdoors including camping and off road racing. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #81 where he was very active. Bill was of the Christian Faith.Survivors include his wife, Patti Sue Vaughn of Charleston, Tennessee, his daughter, JoEllen Hammond and her husband Michael of Carmel, Indiana, his grandchildren, Matthew, Josie and Sawyer, his sister, Debra McCoy of Anderson, Indiana and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Visitation will be conducted on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 12:00 until 2:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 A. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full Military Honors. The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
