Billie Ruth Burnett Simpson, age 80, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away Sunday evening, May 26, 2019 at the family residence. Mrs. Simpson was the daughter of the late Cammie Mae Kemp Burnett and Thomas Bennie Burnett. Her son, Kenneth Wayne Simpson and her sister, Linda Gail Burnett also preceded her in death. Mrs. Simpson was a Teacher for the Franklin County, Tennessee School System with 20 years of service. She was a member of the Franklin County Family and Community Education for 46 years. She loved to quilt and was a member of the Quilting Club in Franklin County. She enjoyed painting, flower arranging and decorating. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Cleveland.Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Norman Wayne Simpson of Cleveland, her daughter, Diana Lynn Nageotte and her husband Randy Keith Nageotte of Fredericksburg, Virginia, her grandchildren, Bryan K. Nageotte, Angela L. Nageotte, Joshua K. Simpson and his wife Holly and Jacob K. Simpson and his wife Taylor, her great grandchildren, Blake Nageotte, Ashton Nageotte and Camden Simpson, her daughter in law, Linda D. Simpson, one sister and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 1:00 P. M. C.S.T. at the Winchester Church of Christ with Minister Joseph Horton and Minister David Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin County Memorial Gardens with Joshua Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Rex Simpson, Marty Ferris, Randy Nageotte and Ed Meeks serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends in Cleveland on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel. The family will receive friends in Winchester on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 10:00 until 1:00 C. S. T. at the Winchester Church of Christ.
