Bobby Joe Calfee Sr.

Bobby Joe Calfee Sr., age 84, a resident of Cleveland, fell asleep in death on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2019 in a Chattanooga health care facility. Mr. Calfee was the son of the late Pansy Akins Calfee and Wesley Hogan Calfee. His beloved wife, Viles Dunn Calfee, his son, Jeffrey Allen Calfee and his stepson, Johnny Baxter, his brothers, John Wesley Calfee, Lester Hogan Calfee, Billy Gene Calfee, Henry Allen Calfee and his sisters, Wilma Caudle, Dixie Stepp, Ferne Taylor, Dortha "Polly" Davis and Rebecca Arterburn also preceded him in death. Mr. Calfee worked in Stove Foundries most of his life, retiring from Brown Stove Works. He loved being a grandfather and was affectionately called "Papaw" by his grandchildren. He loved going to family reunions and spending time with his family.Survivors include his daughter, Viola Stephanie Mills and her husband Danny of Ooltewah, his son, Bobby Joe Calfee Jr. of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Tina Blankenship and her husband Michael, Christina Fowler and her husband Jason, Adam Calfee, Heather Chun, Danielle Mills and Daniel Mills, his great grandchildren, Jaylan and Jacob Blankenship, Cameron and Kendall Cox, Callie Fowler, Jeremiah and Leah Calfee and Bearen Heiner, his brother, Charles Ronald Calfee of Dalton, Georgia and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 3:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Ministerial Servant, Daniel Ray Mills officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Veterans Section with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P. M. on Monday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
