Bobby Wayne Higgins

Bobby Wayne Higgins, age 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in a local hospital. Bobby was born in Charleston, West Virginia and was the sixth child of the late Edward and Leona Higgins. Due to a family illness, he and his siblings were placed in Tomlinson Home for Children at the age of five. His sisters, Norma Jean Higgins and Sharon Kay White also preceded him in death. Bobby spent his early years in Tomlinson Home for Children in Cleveland. He later graduated Stonewall Jackson High in Charleston, West Virginia in 1971. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He attended Jet Mechanic School at Chanute, Illinois Air Force Base. After graduation, he was stationed at Charleston, South Carolina Air Force Base where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. Bobby worked for Duracell in the Maintenance Department with over 30 years of service before his retirement. He enjoyed biking, boating and bowling.Bobby was an avid family man and he is survived by his wife Cindy Higgins of Cleveland, his son, Derek Higgins and his wife Holly, his grandson, Milo Higgins, his stepson, Tab Goins, his siblings, Ronald Higgins, Carmel Diane Strickland, Donna Gail Link all of Cleveland, Joyce Faye Chancey of Charleston, West Virginia and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 6:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Randy Howard and Pastor David Preston officiating.
