Bobby Jim “Butch” Wilson Jr. age 60 a resident of Old Fort passed away Thursday February 18, 2021 at the family residence. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Rush Wilson and his nephew Adam Willis. Butch was a skilled welder, mechanic and machinist and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt. He is survived by his father Bobby Jim Wilson Sr. his daughters Carrie Wilson, Jamie Tickel (Ethan), Traci Wilson, his grandkids Bella Tickel and Zeke Tickel, his sisters Lynnette Lillard (Marty), Vicky Willis (Greg) and Christy Patterson (Doug) along with several nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday at Ball Play Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Woody officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Ethan Tickel, Scotty Kersey, Brian Watts, Will Vance, Julian Platts, Eddie Swallows, Erick Swallows and Mike Payne serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 8pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel. Dear Sweet Butch,
It's the heat of the summer now with long days, dragon flies and memories of lazy afternoons floating on the river. I am sure the river will never be the same for any of us. I long for the smell of burgers at the camp ground, cracking rocks open, finding treasures, family and fellowship. I've tried thinking about going to the river without you but still can not imagine it.
Soon it will be fall your favorite season. I will walk In the woods and sit by a camp fire for you. I will think of you every time I see a dear. The smells of the season will never be as sweet to me now. Summer days, spring showers and
snowy evenings will never be the same.
We your family and I miss you immeasurably. We take
solice in the knowledge you are with your Mom, Mary, watching over us.
Rest in Peace Sweetheart I will all the days of my life love you.
