[To view the live stream click here] https://youtu.be/ncgxW4fvEusBrent Dallman Nicely received his call to his heavenly home September 18, 2020 in the quietness of his home in Cleveland, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Otho Scott Nicely and Audrey Elizabeth Reid Nicely, sisters Stanhope Hanner and Wyllis Burford, and daughter-like Cindy Davis. He leaves his loving wife of 59 years Sandra L. West Nicely, beloved twin daughters Carmen E. Shaver (Benjamin) and April R. Yzaguirre (Marco), grandchildren Michael P. Yzaguirre and Audrey Ellen Shaver, daughter-like Devorah Sanchez (Joe), special niece Theresa Bryant (Mike), and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brent was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA) and a former member of Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington, VA where he played the organ and piano for many years. He was born in Lexington, VA, where he was raised on a farm, graduated from Brownsburg H.S., attended Columbia Bible College in South Carolina, and later Shenandoah Valley B.C. in Roanoke, VA. His passion was children’s ministry for many years, including house parenting at Bethel Bible Village where God used him to be instrumental in the opening of their first thrift store. His career in retail management began with Peebles department stores in Virginia and ended with the American Cancer Society. He served in the U.S. Air Force and especially enjoyed volunteering at a mission library in Happy Valley during his deployment to Goose Bay, Labrador. Highlights for Brent were short-term mission trips to Hungary, Jamaica, and Haiti. Brent was a gentle soul with a quick smile and a twinkle in his eye that revealed his genuine love for his family and friends as well as strangers he would meet along life’s way. His love for family, serving others, music, antiques, camping, the beach, and cats (especially Sedgie) enriched his life and gave him great joy. He will be sorely missed by his loving family, who at the same time rejoice with him in spirit as he experiences the reality of “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to BethelBibleVillage.org. In abundance of caution due to Covid-19, there will be a private service on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 that will be live-streamed at TrinityPresCleveland.com. Private burial will be through Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel Homes in Cleveland, TN, JimRushFuneralHomes.com, at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.Read Obituary

Sandra, So very sorry to hear the news of Brent's passing. I can still remember his
wonderful personality and contagious smile. My prayers and love go out to you and
your family. Please send me your address, as I have misplaced it.

Brent always stood out as a humble servant at Church. I got to do hurricane relief with him in Louisianna. I will always remember that time with him. And him serving the drinks Wed. nights at church.

Dear Sandra,
I am praying for your strength and comfort as you adjust to life without Brent. We grieve; but thankfully it is with the comfort and assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
I remember Brent as a kind and gentle person. He had a great gift of music which he shared readily at church and Norman and I enjoyed so much. He was very helpful several years ago when we had an antique clock that needed repair. He gave us a name of someone who was able to restore its ability to run.
We'll always miss the visits and the thoughtful contributions that Brent made to our family. Being greeted at the door by that mischievous grin. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Jimmy and Joann Hellmann
Such a sweet, kind man, we will miss his humor in the neighborhood. Saying a prayer for his family, wife, and children who I know loved him so much. We will never forget Brent. Soar in heaven now and make tons of friends. Watch over your family from our fathers house.

Brent was such a happy person! Always loving and proud of his family, both human and feline. It was always a pleasure to work with him at the antique mall. But most of all he was a good and kind friend who will always be remembered.
Brent was loved and appreciated so much by all who knew him at the antique mall! He was missed when he gave up his antique booth, and now we will miss him even more since we know we will not be seeing his sweet smile and enjoying his happy personality! We loved his teasing! He is going to be so missed in this world!
Sandra, you and Brent where a great blessing to us I. So many ways. I know we are blessed to call you friends. To this momma I will always be grateful for your love for our youngest son, William. I remember how both of you claimed him as your own. You both made an impact in his life that he treasures to this day. ( I believe he still wears some of the shirts Brent passed his way.
We pray for you and your daughters and family as you say goodbye to Brent for a time. When my dad died several years back one of his friends, who worked in ministry with him, told us, you know, this is Jim’s graduation day, he graduated from earth to Heaven. I can see Brent enjoying his graduation day.
I love you Sandra. Brent will be missed here, while we,too, wait for our graduation day.
Blessings,
Tammy Higgins
